Nous disons au revoir à Hera II et prenons le bus à 9 h. Jens est allé donner des restes de nourriture à un voisin qui est bien content. Nous sommes assez chargés, chacun avec un sac à dos et en plus, Catherine et moi portons entre nous un sac avec deux bouteilles de vin, des biscuits et autres bricoles que nous allons donner à Raymonde qui nous accueille à Athènes, nous une nuit et Catherine trois nuits. Le bus s’arrête souvent dans des villages et se remplit bien. Il ne s’arrête pas au milieu du chemin à une cafétéria comme lorsque nous sommes venus. Mais près d’Athènes, un vieux monsieur demande au chauffeur de s’arrêter à des toilettes. Je suis désolée, mais je n'ai pas vu quand nous avons passé le Canal de Corinthe! Arrivés à Athènes, nous partons à pied et marchons, marchons. Nous trouvons une petite taverna à l’ombre, en face d’une église. Le monsieur ne parle que quelques mots d’anglais mais nous sert un repas délicieux : salade grecque et viande grillée et il nous offre un dessert, une sorte de compote de coings. Nous payons 22 €, pour trois ! Nous repartons et arrivons à une station de métro et de là, en changeant une fois, arrivons chez Raymonde. Nous sommes heureux de nous revoir. Dernier diner au restaurant et couchés assez tôt, notre longue marche, bien chargés, nous a fatigués.

We say goodbye to Hera II and take the bus at 9am. Jens went to give leftover food to a neighbor who is happy to accept it. We carry quite a lot, each with a backpack and in addition, Catherine and I carry between us a bag with two bottles of wine, biscuits and other things that we will give to Raymonde who welcomes us in Athens, us one night and Catherine three nights. The bus often stops in villages but doesn’t stop in the middle of the way at a cafeteria like when we came. But near Athens, an old gentleman asks the driver to stop at a toilet. I'm sorry but I didn't notice when we crossed the Corinth Canal! Arrived in Athens, we leave on foot and walk, walk. We find a small tavern, in the shade, in front of a church. The owner speaks only a few words of English but serves us a delicious meal: Greek salad and grilled meat and he offers us a dessert, a kind of quince compote. We pay 22 € for three! We leave and take the metro at a subway station and from there, changing once, arrive at Raymonde’s place, we are happy to see each other. Last dinner at a restaurant and we go to bed not too late, we are tired of our long walk, well loaded.

The May 12 th and 13 th blogs are written at Copenhagen airport the 14 th of May, we have 5 hours between our arrival from Athens and our departure for Bergen.
