Beau mais frais, 14 ⁰ dans le bateau ce matin. Jens vérifie les boulons qui fixent le moteur et trouve que l’un d’entre eux n’est pas serré correctement … Il va voir ensuite l’enrouleur de foc et après l’avoir déroulé et re-roulé, ça a l’air de marcher. Mais il l’a roulé du mauvais sens, c’est Lennart, le Suédois qui nous le fait remarquer. On le déroule encore et le re-roulons du bon côte. Jens met les lattes dans la grand-voile et nous arrangeons bien la voile dans le couvre-voile. Il installe ensuite un détecteur de fumée dans le salon. Je lave un placard et commence le blog. Nous allons faire des courses à l’une des trois boutiques du village… pour une population de 150 habitants l’hiver; puis, pour nous récompenser de notre travail, allons déguster un ouzo au café sur le port. Jens demande s’il sert à manger et le gars répond que non. Bon. Lennart et Annett se joignent à nous et ils commandent des « toasts ». Il y a eu un malentendu, il ne sert pas de nourriture cuisinée mais il a des toasts qui sont en fait des sandwichs. Nous en prenons aussi et déjeunons ensemble. Ils ont beaucoup navigué le long des côtes de Norvège et ont même fait escale à Strusshamn, sur notre ile d’Askøy. Après déjeuner nous partons en vélo et refaisons ce que nous avions fait à pied le 1 er novembre 2017. Nous descendons à la plage et nous baignons ! L’eau doit être 16-17 ⁰ et le soleil chauffe bien. Nous arrivons au petit port d’Episcopi et revenons. Les 17 km se font bien plus facilement en vélo qu’à pied. Au retour je me remets au blog et Jens essaye d’installer une alarme de gaz dans la cuisine, mais elle sonne tout le temps. Il rebranche aussi une lumière dans la pièce du moteur et une lumière au dessus de l’évier. Nous travaillons jusqu’à 20 h et c’est un peu tard pour se mettre à faire la cuisine, donc nous allons voir dans le village. Le restaurant sur le port est fermé et l’alternative est de nouveau des toasts au café ou bricoler un diner rapide sur le bateau. Jens demande à un jeune s’il y a un restaurant ouvert dans le village. Mais oui, il faut monter vers l’église, tourner à droite et nous allons le trouver. Sitôt dit, sitôt fait et nous arrivons à un restaurant populaire dans le village. Nous avons de la chance d’avoir une table, c’est plein. C’est le point de rassemblement du village. Des jeunes, des vieux, tout le monde se connait et nous sommes les seuls étrangers. Bonne salade grecque, « gyros », cette viande qui tourne et grille en même temps, c’est bon. Ils ne servent pas de café donc nous redescendons sur le port et le prenons là. Pour fêter notre premier bain de l’année, nous nous offrons un Metaxa (pour moi) et un Ouzo sec (pour Jens). Pas mal les vacances …

Beautiful weather but cool, 14 ⁰ in the boat this morning. Jens checks the bolts that fix the engine and finds that one of them is not tightened correctly ... He will then see the jib furler and after unrolling and re-rolled it, it seems to work. But he rolled it in the wrong way, it's Lennart, our Swedish neighbor who points it out to us. We roll it out again and re-roll on the right side. Jens puts the slats in the mainsail and we arrange the sail in the sail cover. He then installs a smoke detector in the living room. I wash a closet and start the blog. We go shopping at one of the three shops in the village ... for a population of 150 inhabitants in winter; then, to reward us for our work, we’ll enjoy an ouzo at the cafe on the harbor. Jens asks if the guy serves food, and he says no. Ok. Lennart and Annett join us and they order toasts. There was a misunderstanding, the guy does not serve cooked food but it has toasts that are actually sandwiches. We also take some and have lunch together. They sailed a lot along the coast of Norway and even stopped at Strusshamn on our island of Askøy. After lunch we ride our bikes and do the same than we did walking on November 1, 2017. We go down to the beach and swim! The water must be 16-17 ⁰ and the sun is hot. We arrive at the small port of Episcopi and return. The 17 km are much easier by bike than on foot. Back at Hera II I finish the blog and Jens tries to install a gas alarm in the kitchen, but it rings all the time. He also reconnects a light in the engine room and a light above the sink. We work until 8 pm and it's a bit late to start cooking, so we'll see in the village. The restaurant on the harbor is closed and the alternative is toast again at the cafe or make a quick dinner on the boat. Jens asks a young guy if there is an open restaurant in the village. Yes, we must go up to the church, turn right and we’ll find it. No sooner said than done and we arrive at a popular restaurant in the village. We are lucky to have a table, it's full. This is the meeting point of the village. Young people, old people, everyone knows each other and we are the only foreigners. Good Greek salad, "gyros", this meat that turns and grills at the same time, it's good. They don’t serve coffee so we go down to the harbor and take it there. To celebrate our first bath of the year, we offer ourselves a Metaxa (for me) and a dry Ouzo (for Jens). Not bad to be in holidays.
