Nous voici repartis en Grèce. Laila, notre fille, nous emmène à l’aéroport à 04 h 15, merci beaucoup Laila, nous apprécions ton réveil si matinal, surtout pour toi qui n’aime pas te lever tôt. Pour une fois nous avons des bagages enregistrés, deux grosses (et lourdes) caisses de carton. Nous prenons l’avion à 6 h pour Copenhague, puis prenons l’avion pour Athènes. L’aéroport de Copenhague est embouteillé et avec beaucoup de retards à cause de la neige. Nous ne sommes pas ensemble Jens et moi dans l’avion. Lui a un couple norvégien-grec comme voisins et moi un couple danois-grec. Arrivée à Athènes sous un ciel gris. Nous attendons nos bagages, les chargeons sur un charriot et prenons un taxi vers la gare routière. Un bus part pour Preveza à 15 h et nous pouvons le prendre. Un grand car est là marqué Preveza mais au dernier moment est remplacé par un minibus. Même voyage qu’en octobre, vers le sud, traversant le canal de Corinthe, longeant le golf de Corinthe par le sud puis remontant vers le nord et le retraversant par le grand pont. Le paysage est montagneux et vert mais plus plat avant d’arriver à Preveza. Arrivés à Preveza, le plus dur reste à faire : porter nos caisses de l’arrêt de bus à l’hôtel. Je ne peux faire que quelques mètres en portant une caisse. Mais nous trouvons une technique : Jens porte la moins lourde de sa main droite et la plus lourde de sa main gauche avec mon aide. Mais même comme cela, nous devons nous arrêter souvent pour nous reposer, mais on y arrive. Nous atteignons l’hôtel « The Captain’s House » comme la nuit commence à tomber. Petite promenade sur le port, quatre voiliers y sont amarrés, léger diner au restaurant et au lit. Et qu’avons-nous dans nos caisses ? Deux nouveaux vélos pliants.

PS. Jens est venu deux semaines ici à Preveza en février pour travailler sur Hera II avec Spyros, l’homme chargé de son entretien.

Here we are again in Greece. Laila, our daughter, takes us to the airport at 4:15 am, thank you very much Laila, we appreciate your morning awakening, especially for you who doesn’t like to get up early. For once we have checked baggage, two big (and heavy) cardboard boxes. We fly to Copenhagen at 6 am and fly then to Athens. Copenhagen airport is bottled and with a lot of delays due to the snow. We are not together Jens and I on the plane. He has a Norwegian-Greek couple as neighbors and I a Danish-Greek couple. Arrival in Athens under a gray sky. We wait for our luggage, load them on a caddy and take a taxi to the bus station. A bus leaves for Preveza at 3 pm and we can take it. A big bus is there marked Preveza but at the last moment is replaced by a minibus. Same trip as in October, south, crossing the Corinth Canal, driving along the golf of Corinth by the south then going up to the north and crossing it by the big bridge. The landscape is mountainous and green but flatter before reaching Preveza. Arrived in Preveza, the hardest part remains to be done: carrying our boxes from the bus stop to the hotel. I can only walk a few meters carrying a box. But we find a technique: Jens wears the least heavy one with his right hand and the heaviest one with his left hand with my help. But even so, we have to stop often to rest, but we get there. We reach the hotel "The Captain's House" as the night begins to fall. Short walk on the harbor, four yachts are moored there, light dinner in a restaurant and in bed. And what do we have in our boxes? Two new folding bikes.

PS. Jens has been two weeks in Preveza in February working on Hera II with Spyros, the man in charge of her maintenance.
